I offer maths tuition at A-level (or equivalent): click here for more information.

Assorted maths-related things

I have written guides to integration by substitution and integration by parts (PDF format), intended for A-level students but suitable for anyone learning about integration for the first time.

In moments of procrastination, I have written a few articles for general interest:
12.05.2011: Ambiguous notation and 6÷2(1+2)
14.12.2010: Why "Japanese multiplication" works
15.12.2009: Properties of hypercubes

Here is a text encryption algorithm, which I made in 2008.

In summer 2011 I did an internship at the STOR-i Doctoral Training Centre at Lancaster University. My project was entitled Parametric Inference for Missing Data Problems. Here are links to my poster and presentation (PDF).

Here is my submission to the 2011 Crausaz-Wordsworth Essay Prize Competition. The (prescribed) title was Man is Born Free but is Everywhere in Chains.
